The name of the blog is derived from the phrase "...the twin forces of science and technology shaping our society"...and its topic is exactly that , chronicling intriguing & eyecatching recent developments in these two fields.

In science, results will mostly be reported from areas such as psychology, philosophy, brain research and social research, as well as selected results from physics which have especially inspiring or philosophical qualities.

In technology, postings will mainly focus on innovative personal transportation vehicles for sea, land and air use, a field which has seen an explosion of new developments in recent years.

The unifying factor of all posts in both categories is that they will exclusively cover results which are well-defined, concrete, and immediately applicable,in such a way that their mere existence immediately changes conditions of everyday reality in a definite way, in terms of what is possible and not for the individual person TODAY, or within a year or two (even though when speaking of personal transportation,it might not always necessarily be very cheap....)
